Being a Spanish Tour Guide/Driver in New Zealand brings together a rewarding reminder of my three greatest passions: driving [cars, vans, busses, even helicopters!], guiding people and New Zealand’s way of life.
While I was working for Internal Affairs in Spain I became the youngest drive licence testing officer for: cars, trucks and busses. A few years later due to my love for flying: parachuting, hand gliding and flying small planes; I was promoted to a new job position as a helicopter pilot within the same governmental department. I then become the first female to be trained as a helicopter pilot at the Air Forces’ Academy. Job I competently performed until I moved with my kiwi husband to New Zealand.
I felt in love with this country, changed my hobbies and jobs to fit my new family commitments with the arrival of my second child to: become a Spanish teacher, casual tour guide, sociology/Portuguese student at Otago University and casual bus driver/guide.
The professionalism, responsibility, knowledge, dedication, enjoyment and physical fitness of the jobs I have duly accomplished, have provided me with the essential skills needed to perform this job at a high level of competency.
I have made NZ my home; I have travelled, walked, investigated, enjoyed and guided extensively NZ South Island. I look forward to introduce you to this amazing country.
