Please find below - and attached - the outline for the 2023 conference & AGM in Kaikoura. Official documents will follow in due time, but you may already book your flights/ transportation, and accommodation.
Friday 19 May
Will Parsons invites you to join him on a famil from Picton/Blenheim, through the Marlborough region, to Kaikoura
Hear from a true local about the history of the Kaikoura coast and Marlborough, covering earthquakes, pastoral farming, churches, transport, geology, and early Polynesian history!
Stops at Wairau Lagoon by Redwood pass, drive past the Awatere valley, past Yealands Estate winery, see the solar salt works at Lake Grassmere, Lake Elterwater, Ward cemetery, Wharanui church, the K-T boundary, Clarence bridge escarpment, Earthquake sites and Ohau Point seal colony.
Start : 9.30 from Blenheim (pick up from Picton can be arranged)
End : 17.00 Kaikoura

Conference and AGM are free for ProGuides members, while a small contribution TBA will be asked of accompanying people

Famil day around Kaikoura. Includes:

We need to travel in a convoy of smaller vehicles (ie 12-20 seater vans) as the access road to Puhi Peaks is not suitable for larger coaches. If you are planning to travel to Kaikoura with your vehicle and are willing to assist, please get in touch with the committee. Thanks
